Finance Weather glossary
Plain-language terms for the public ledger. These outputs are descriptive weather plates: they organize pressure, movement, and provenance. They do not certify market truth and they do not place trades.
Boundary:
market_truth: NOT_PROVEN_BY_RECEIPT · trade_permission: NOFinance WeatherA descriptive view of market pressure. It is not a signal, forecast, or trade instruction.
PlateOne timestamped snapshot of sector and symbol pressure.
ChamberA grouped set of symbols, such as BANKS, AI_SEMIS, AUTOS_EV, RETAIL, or ENERGY.
Median bpsThe middle pressure reading for a chamber, in basis points. This is the headline because it resists one-name outliers.
Average bpsThe arithmetic average pressure reading. It is more sensitive to one-name drag or lift than the median.
Weighted avg bpsA supporting pressure gauge that can show heavy downside or upside drag.
Net breadthUp-count minus down-count. A quick measure of whether a chamber is broadly moving one way.
LOOK-HEREThe movement spotlight: clean, trusted plate-to-plate changes that deserve attention.
Clean movementA movement candidate passing freshness and spread checks across snapshots.
Spread trustA separate quality check for quote reliability. Move trust and spread trust are not the same.
Global stackA derived all-symbol pressure view. It is not a real sector.
ReceiptA hash-bound record of published artifacts and claims. It proves integrity boundaries, not market truth.
market_truth: NOT_PROVEN_BY_RECEIPTThe receipt does not prove the market reading is true. It only records what was generated.
trade_permission: NOThe system does not place trades and does not grant trading permission.
